General Voting Information

The 2018 upcoming municipal election for West Kelowna will be held on October 20, 2018. The following voting guidelines have been obtained from the City of West Kelowna:

WHERE TO VOTE ON OCTOBER 20, 2018 IN WEST KELOWNA

  • Westbank Lions Community Centre 2466 Main Street, West Kelowna
  • Constable Neil Bruce School 2010 Daimler Road, West Kelowna
  • Mar Jok Elementary School 2101 McDougall Road, West Kelowna
  • Glenrosa Middle School 3565 McIver Road, West Kelowna

RESIDENT ELECTORS
Voter Qualifications:  You are eligible to vote as a resident elector if you are:

  • A Canadian citizen;
  • 18 years of age or older on general voting day;
  • A resident of British Columbia for at least six months before voting;
  • A resident living in the City of West Kelowna for at least 30 days before voting.

Register as a Resident Elector
As a resident elector in the City of West Kelowna you will register to vote at the polling station.

Identification Required
When you arrive to vote, you must provide two pieces of identification (one with a signature) that identify who you are and where you live.

NON-RESIDENT ELECTORS
Voter Qualifications:  A non-resident elector is one who owns property in the City of West Kelowna but lives in another jurisdiction.
You may vote as a non-resident elector if you:

  • Are not a resident in the City of West Kelowna;
  • Are a Canadian citizen;
  • Are 18 years of age or older on voting day;
  • Have lived in British Columbia for at least six months before voting;
  • Have owned a property within the City of West Kelowna for at least 30 days before voting;
  • Have written consent from the majority of the property’s co-owners to vote as the non-resident elector;
  • Are not an ineligible voter

Register as a Non-resident Elector
As a non-resident elector you will register to vote at the polling station.
